Belly Dancing Lessons
I have been belly dancing for about 8 years and teaching for nearly a year. I enjoy sharing this ancient feminine art form. Prior to becoming a belly dancer, I was trained as a group exercise instructor and worked as a massage therapist for 8 years. My deep respect for the human body aided my appreciation towards the body’s ability to embrace the dance and help others discover their full potential.
In this class you will learn basic and intermediate moves that encompass Arabian, Persian, and Egyptian dance styles. Typical attire consists of a long skirt, top of your choice, and an optional coin belt (available from the instructor for purchase). Regular workout clothes will also work fine.
Belly Dancing has enabled women to discover the power of their bodies since ancient times. It is not about looking or dancing perfectly, but about internal grace, beauty, self expression and enjoyment.
